Lake County Comp Plan and upcoming Community meetings

Lake County has received the working draft of our 2050 Comprehensive Plan from our consultants at Kimley-Horn, and we have published the draft on our website for public review. As an important stakeholder in Lake County, I wanted to share the link with you and make you aware of three upcoming community meetings.
As you review the working draft, please note that the elements have been revised to ensure the Comprehensive Plan clearly outlines the goals, objectives, and policies that will guide Lake County. Regulatory matters will be governed by Lake County’s Land Development Code. For this reason, regulatory components included in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan have been removed in the working draft. Lake County will begin the Land Development Regulation update with staff and our consultant in July, and those regulations will be incorporated into the revised Code.

Please note that this is a working draft, and further revisions are expected as staff complete the review and the public provides input.
